We focus on you and your driving: the best track day on ice, for every level, from first-timer to experienced drifter — combined with a high level of lifestyle comfort.

In the Åre–Östersund region of central Sweden, which brings together three things few places can:

• Åre Sweden’s best ski resort and Scandinavia’s premier mountain destination, right on the doorstep.
• Östersund a city with its own airport, just a short transfer from the lake. With 3+ daily flights from Stockholm, it’s easy to reach from most European capitals.
• The lake reliable deep-winter cold and thick ice from January to February.

• Ice Driving you drive — coached sessions on the private lake, plus the Night Race, gourmet dining and luxury hotel.
• Ice Experience you don’t drive — a full programme around Åre: husky sledding, skiing, award-winning spa, ice fishing, snowscooter, hiking. Both share flights, hotel and meals, so drivers and guests travel and dine together.

From Mon 15 to Sun 28 February, dates and groups are on request — reserved for private events and tailor-made concepts. Places per session are capped by the fleet to guarantee seat time, so popular weekends fill first. For sold-out sessions, check our website curbstone.net/ice.

No. Coaches tailor every session to your level, from first slides on ice to linked drifts and full circuits. Experienced drivers are pushed further. Groups are split by driving level, so faster drivers run together and beginners progress together — unless you’d rather stay with your own group of friends.

Drivers can join from 16 years old, and no proof of a driving licence is needed — the lake is private. You do need to be confident driving a sports car; our coaches check your skills before letting you out on the ice. Younger drivers with a racing licence can be accepted under conditions.

A fully ice-prepped range of rear-wheel-drive sports cars, mainly from the Porsche range — always 6-cylinder, from the Carrera to the GT and RS models. Thanks to our rotation system, you’ll drive every car in the fleet over the programme.

Two drivers share one car, alternating at the wheel — when you’re not driving, you ride in the passenger seat or take a longer break in the lounge. You can also choose to drive a car on your own, at an additional cost.

Up to 3 days of driving on the 4-Day Weekend, and up to 2 days on the 3-Day Week. Each day on ice runs from after breakfast until past sundown, with lunch served on the lake — and after dark we host the Night Race.

Every car runs studded ice tyres — 500 studs per tyre, 2,000 per car — and is set up for low-grip driving.

The Night Race is an evening session on the lake after nightfall, driven under lights. Laps are timed with the RN Vision onboard telemetry device, and you drive against your own lap time — a real challenge, run for fun, with no racing experience needed.

Circuits ploughed into the frozen lake, laid out in the style of famous Grand Prix tracks, so you can link corners at speed on ice. Besides the GP track, we also run drift ovals and handling tracks — the Curbstone ice driving centre at its best.

A maximum of 4 cars per group — up to 8 drivers in the Duo format — with a dedicated coach for each group. Larger groups are possible on request only.

No. All driving is done in the Curbstone ICE fleet, prepared for ice and maintained on site. Bringing your own car is only possible as part of a tuner, dealer or car manufacturer convention, subject to agreement.

Yes — photos, video and social media content are included, so you can relive and share your days on the ice.

Yes — that’s what the Ice Experience is for: 3.999€ (4-Day Weekend) or 3.299€ (3-Day Week) per participant, ex. tax. Guests share flights, hotel and dinners with the drivers, and follow their own programme by day. A test drive on the ice can be arranged, subject to agreement.

Husky sledding, skiing at Åre resort, award-winning spa, ice fishing, snowscooter and hiking. All activities can be curated around your group’s preferences.

Yes. Both packages can be extended with extra days skiing in Åre, Sweden’s best ski resort; our concierge arranges the additional nights, passes and transfers.

• Ice Driving add ski days before or after your driving days.
• Ice Experience add more days to the same Åre-based programme.

It’s possible. The region lies at about 63°N, and January–February nights are long and dark, so the aurora can appear on clear nights. It can’t be guaranteed — it depends on solar activity and cloud cover.

• Ice Driving flights from/to Stockholm, 3 nights (4-Day Weekend) or 2 nights (3-Day Week) in a luxury hotel with all meals, performance ice driving in the ice-prepped fleet, the private ice lake, coaching, and photos, video and social media content.
• Ice Experience flights from/to Stockholm, the same stay with all meals, and the Ice Experience activity programme.

Travel to and from Stockholm, taxes (prices are ex. tax), travel insurance, the insurance excess (depending on the package you opt for), drinks outside the programme, private flights, Åre extensions and any extra activities on request.

Yes. Our dedicated travel agency looks after your every travel need. Flight tickets from and to Stockholm are included, and the agency takes care of all other travel arrangements on your behalf — from your connection to Stockholm to a private flight on request. On site, programme shuttles are included: comfortable vans with a driver take you everywhere the programme goes. Any extra transport can be arranged at the hotel lobby.

The programme is based at Frösö Park Hotel in Östersund, with its award-winning Jämtland-inspired spa: indoor and outdoor pools, saunas, relaxation lounges and wellness treatments. Extended stays or private group upgrades can be booked at Copperhill Mountain Lodge in Åre.

You’ll receive a Curbstone ICE Driver kit. Otherwise, bring:

• warm, comfortable clothing, including a winter jacket for the night activities;
• weatherproof shoes with rubber soles, such as Timberlands;
• warm socks, thermal underwear, hats and gloves;
• hand cream and lip balm.

No need for a tuxedo, dresses or other formal wear.

A valid ID card or passport for travel to Sweden.

Please don’t mount GoPros or cameras on the cars’ leather dashboards. Our media team films the event and shares all footage with you.

Please don’t. Sweden has strict import rules on alcohol and food. If you do want to bring something, declare your goods before the flight.

You can join on your own.

• Ice Driving you can join alone, and we’ll integrate you into a group of motivated, like-minded drivers. Or you can choose to drive a car on your own, at an additional cost.
• Ice Experience individual bookings are welcome; you join the day programme with the other guests.

Yes. Curbstone ICE is ideal for incentive groups and corporate events. A private group starts from 20 participants or the equivalent volume, and can be planned in any period. We keep Mon 15 to Sun 28 February exclusively for private groups and tailor-made concepts. Lifestyle activities can be curated around your group. Contact ice@curbstone.net.

No. We strongly recommend personal travel insurance that covers cancellation, medical care and winter activities.

• Ice Driving every driver gets a safety and technique briefing before the first session; the lake is a closed private area with on-site staff and recovery vehicles.
• Ice Experience each activity starts with a briefing from local guides, with activity-specific equipment provided.

Our local team measures the ice thickness daily across the lake and ploughs and prepares the circuits before each session. Driving only takes place when the ice meets our safety threshold.

• Ice Driving the programme adapts — sessions are moved or circuits reshaped around conditions, or rescheduled to another moment.
• Ice Experience activities are rearranged around the weather.
